Award-Winning Storytellers Launch Cinevore Games, Announce Ambitious Two-Year Lineup

Studio City, CA — May 2025 — A new force in tabletop storytelling has arrived. Cinevore Games, founded by game designer Steven Pope, Emmy-winning producer Jenni Powell, and writer/show creator Matt Conant, has officially launched with a mission to create compelling, immersive tabletop experiences.

The company plans to release four original tabletop games over the next two years—two board games and two tabletop role-playing games—each delivering a unique blend of strategy, narrative, and world-building. Spanning genres such as science fiction, supernatural intrigue, and military strategy, the upcoming lineup will cater to a wide range of players, from families seeking accessible gameplay to lore-hungry campaigners.

“The idea isn’t just to make games—it’s to tell stories and build worlds,” said co-founder Steven Pope. “We hope Cinevore Games will be for anyone who wants to escape into a universe rich with story, character, and consequence.” The company’s first title, currently in development, is an original tabletop RPG based loosely on the Forged in the Dark system, with public playtesting expected to begin in Summer 2025. Additional titles will be revealed later this year.

Cinevore Games extends the creative legacy of its founding team:

• Steven Pope is a prolific tabletop writer and performer, known for his focus on inclusive, emotionally resonant narrative design, as seen in his work on Queerz! The RPG.
• Jenni Powell is an Emmy-winning producer and transmedia expert whose work includes The Lizzie Bennet Diaries and LonelyGirl15.
• Matt Conant is a writer, show creator, and co-author of the PARALLAX series of sci-fi novels, and a writer on Mystery Science Theater 3000. He also heads Cinevore Studios, a production company known for inventive storytelling across formats.
