Parallax co-author Lauren Cipollo and I (Matt Conant) spoke to a full house comprised of the California Writers Club Orange County Branch on Saturday on Writing with a Collaborator: Worldbuilding and Creating Memorable Characters.
The venue was a very cool one, the Anaheim Packing House, one of those old factories/warehouses turned into an open floor plan food court type area. This meant we spoke from what amounted to a mall mezzanine to a crowd filling the entire downstairs and spanning all three balconies before us. I very much wanted to issue an edict or begin a political diatribe, but thought I should probably stick to sci-fi.

We got some great questions from the writers in attendance, and more than a few picked up signed copies of the Parallax series.
Thanks to Mary Venzel White for the invitation, and to Elizabeth, Dan, and the rest of the CWC for being such gracious hosts and such an attentive audience.
Next stop: Wondercon!
